I am busy raising my 7-year-old son Tyler and working non-stop. My oldest son, Doug (22), is

preparing to graduate from OU but got sidetracked when deployed to Germany with the Air Nationa

l Guard for Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am currently working toward finishing my R.N. and plan to

pursue a nursing career with Hospice as I've decided being a paramedic these days is for the

"younger" crowd.

Mostly working, I've been working for The Hertz Corporation for 25 years. The nice thing about working at a large corporation is you can switch jobs when you need a change and never leave the company. I've been lucky and have gotten to travel quite a bit on the company dollar. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. For now I'm entertaining myself by automating paper processes within the company, makes the big guys happy.  When I wasn't working I played soccer and softball until I started feeling the pain 3 days after the games. Now the only sport I try to play is golf.  I'm happily married to Kelley who I met in the Newark Airport 20 years ago. I have a daughter who is a Junior at OSU in Nursing school. We attend Henderson Hills Baptist Church, great church if anyone is looking for a church home!   Big Fan of OU football and anything that goes over 200 miles per hour.

 

Probably the funniest was the day the streakers hit the "T" buildings. Our substitute teacher(female) about fell out of the window getting an eye full.  I don't know if it is fond memory but, having to get to school so early to get a parking space.

 

Then there was the time Coach Whitson made Walter Bean act like a cockroach, not really sure why?

I first went to beauty school,got licensed, and cut hair. Then off to Virginia, Kansas, Ohio, and finally Texas teaching the Bible. My oldest step son is in the Air Force in South Carolina and my middle step son is a Marine in North Carolina and the youngest step daughter is working at Walmart looking for a job as a estitichian. I work in the disabilities field assisting kids find jobs or assisting them gain higher education and my wife Sonja works as a preschool teacher in a daycare setting.

being a mom. Outside of that my passion is teaching meditation classes. I also loved running until I

Just a few notes about my wonderful kids. Sara is 17 and will be a Senior herself this year--how can I possibly be old enough for this? She's active in Student Council, organized prom, and is in Italy right now. Andrew, 12, recently won outstanding boy for the 6th grade at his school. Matt, 11, is a great student and a baseball star. Hannah, 7,just finished 1st grade and loves dance,baseball and tai kwon do. Can you tell I'm a proud mom?!

These days we are adjusting to living home alone. Our 19 yr. old son Ryan is a sophomore at the University of North Texas, majoring in Broadcasting while he works for a local Dallas radio station. I keep up my consulting business while helping to guide my son through the ins-and-outs of the radio game.

 

There are so many great memories from PC. Mr. Goodger's math class and the many street signs

that adorned his classroom. That overtime win for the state football champoinship. The 'Pineapple

Gang' who toilet-papered many homes of unsuspecting targets (I still have the 1967 Jeep that we

used!)

My wife and I just celebrated 25 years of marriage. Became a grandfather in February. We love Grand Lake and spend almost every weekend there during the summer. Our son is getting married this summer 2008 so will have an empty nest.

I lead a development team in writing and maintaining tax software for Bank Trust departments. Right

now I'm trying to figure out how to implement the latest tax law changes!

 

I remember how much I enjoyed Ms. Van Demon's literature class. Who else would have read us

Kurt Vonnegut out of that magazine that shall remain nameless?

 

The football state championship was incredible. I screamed so much I couldn't talk or hear for a while. I enjoyed the time with my friends.

My youngest started highschool this year.. so helping her get set there and on to college (hoping) is one of my goals. I returned to school year before last, for some computer courses.Invigorating, to say the least.Last year I started a small cleaning business.This year maybe a mid-life crisis, not sure yet.

 

One of the best memories was the way most school  days were started.Holly, you know this one.My friend and I sat in her red blazer before school and watched a certain someone walk by in his levis and monster boots.The beginning of a new day :) Didn't take much to make us happy.

It’s hard to believe but it's been 18 years since I left Oklahoma for Southern California and I’ve learned to love it out here. I’m still running a nonprofit that provides youth development and counseling services to at-risk teens in the L.A. area; our cause is challenging and rewarding.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve become pretty dedicated to the sport of triathlon. I’ve done a couple of half-Ironman races and a host of shorter ones. With any luck (and lots of training) I’ll complete my first full Ironman this fall at IM Florida. I organize and coach a big co-ed training team that is a really fun and motivated group.

I’ve also become a semi-serious breeder of quality Labradors, and now have 3 female dogs. Because the pups are in high demand, I have the luxury of being very particular about their new families who tend to be quite good about staying in touch.

When I can find the time around all my tri training, I still love playing tennis. I’m also involved at Pepperdine, where I mentor some of the current MBA students and am active on a couple of alumni committees. I continue to take the occasional night class on various subjects of interest, mostly through UCLA.

And so as to not completely forsake my Oklahoma roots, I own and operate a very active web business: www.OKCTalk.com. Lots of interesting discussion on primarily local issues -- it’s free to register.

Besides all that, I’m just generally loving life and thankful for all the blessings I continue to enjoy. Look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

I a grandmother of one year.  She and her mother, Jessica live with me, so needless to say, I am a very busy woman.  I am the Clinical Educator for Edmond Renaissance Women's Hospital.  I love it.
