I am enjoying every minute I can grab with my children, since the oldest is in college and the

youngest is a highschool senior! Still lucky to be married to an oil guy/ golfer who has managed to

put up with me for 22 years now! Since the last reunion I finished a PhD. I keep one foot in the "real

world" consulting for a school system and doing professional presentations and trainings in

Louisiana and other states on topics relating to intervention for kids with autism. I also keep one foot

in the academic world that I love, teaching part time at the local university.

 

Snow ski whenever I can, which isn't much.

 

hmmmm....most of the time when I think back to highschool I cringe! If only I could've been less

naive, wiser...etc. But, I still remember the time my bright green volkswagen was actually lifted by a

bunch of PC West fans at a football game. And I still can't listen to "Night Moves" without a smile..

.It would be worth coming to the reunion for another Blazy rendition!

I'm living (and loving) my life to the fullest, raising my five children (ages 22 to 12 years old -- four sons and my youngest, a daughter), racing to keep up. I love to travel, downhill snow ski, do water aerobics several times a week, workout w/my trainer so I don't hurt myself, eat, be real, plant flowers, veggies and herbs, read stimulating books, cook fine food for tons of friends at my house, make my house a beautiful, loving home, play with the love of my life, Gary L. Larson, MD, my husband of 23 1/2 years, take my children everywhere so they can experience life in other places -- first hand -- to the fullest, play with my Bichon dog Romeo, express loving care to my friends and family, volunteer to be of service, serve on boards and committees for organizations I admire, work a twelve step program, be spiritually connected to the god of my understanding.

 

In May, the week before our graduation, my friend and classmate, Valerie Williams, came by with a new kite she wanted me to go fly with her. I was talking on the phone with this guy I'd never met, so I asked her if we could have him join us. She said,"Sure, get directions to his apartment,we'll go pick him up." Thus, Valerie was with me the first time I met my husband to be, on out first "date", when we went to fly a kite. I've known him and loved him since then, almost twenty-five years now. That one event is more significant for me, more life-changing, than anything else that happened to me in high school.

 

Many of my memories of high school are not particularly happy ones. I usually felt out of step with my peers, a misfit among misfits, if you will. I do, however, look forward to updating my perspective on other classmates, that I may see them in a different light -- older, wiser, maybe more well-adjusted to life, regardless, doing life as best we all can. When I thought about attending this reunion, I went through that panic, "oh my god, I'm not skinny-mini, geek of a girl anymore, how will they judge me!" I recovered my balance. I would like all to know, I view myself as a Renaissance woman, happy, healthy and confident in ways that I couldn't be as a teenager at PCHS. I'm grateful for the life I've lived and for who I've become. How about you?

I started working in the oil and gas industry right after graduation and am still at it!  I've worked for Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Corporation for 16 years in Lease Records.  I am very involved in helping to raise my niece Kelsie, now 13 and hopefully we will both live through it!  Bought my first house after years of renting 6 years ago and am fixing it up and can almost see the light at the end of that tunnel!  Still show dogs, Basenjis and Bostons, and travel to a lot of shows on weekends.  I go to California once a year with family to "do Disney" and see friends out there.  Love to antique shop, go to movies and be with family and friends!

working at UT Southwestern Medical School which is a pretty cool place to work. going to shows, sports events and just hanging out. i play in a volleyball league with my son (17), watch my daughter (14) swim and play in the band...she won in district in both...and riding my bike around White Rock Lake with my youngest boy (10). still bumming around some with my old classmates too.

 

i think i did a sentimental one last time...so lunch time my junior year in Ms. Van Diemann's class with Kopplin, Doug White, Jeff Herman, I don't remember who else. We would drive all over town for lunch. Doug made us late listening to Freebird. We got him to write Helter Skelter on the blackboard using taco sauce once. Kopplin still listens to Freebird all the time. I think its the only record he has any more.

My wife Rhonda, whom I met and married in Wyoming, have been married for 19 years, and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Rachel(16) and Lauren(13).  The girls both play soccer and I referee to stay in shape.  We are active in Life Church in Edmond, and Rhonda and I each lead a Bible study in our home.  By the way, ya'll are welcome to join us.

 

Gary Goodger, my Advanced High School Math teacher (I still don't know how I got in that class)would tie a fishing line to the attendance slip and pull it out of the attendants' hand when she grabbed it.  I can still see her jumping up and down trying to get it.  But the state championship vs West was the all time high.  Man, I'm a football junkie and in all these years I've yet to see a more exciting game.

 

High school was really pretty much a care-free time.  I really hadn't reminisced about those times until my oldest was a sophomore and her experiences have brought back memories.  Man, the things we thought were important really weren't were they?

I am in my 23rd yr as an Electrician. It has been a good job and has provided me the opportunity to see most of this country as a supervisor of several national contracts. I now am raising my almost 13 yr old son myself. I don't travel outside of Okla. anymore and am very happy with my life so far. I hope all of my 78 classmates can say the same.I wish we all could find the time to stay in touch more often. Well I guess watching the grass grow (horse are expensive to feed) was a little boring after reading some of the interesting bios. So here we go! After 382 parachute jumps, 2 in combat and touring the world for 21 yrs in the Army I decided to hand it over to the younger Bill Coulter's. I retired on 1 April of this year. I now reside about 1hr (90mph) south of OKC on a 100 acre horse ranch. I can touch the Witchita Mountains, beautiful view. Something I've always wanted to do. No crime, no noise and I can run around naked if I feel like it. I board, shoe, break, and train horses. Anyone want to ride? Retirement is GREAT!!! I do what I want when I want and get paid for it. Thanks to all you tax payers!!! Glad to here so many of you all are enjoying life. I have a foal (baby horse) due this month, hope it doesn't happen on the 28th. See ya!

I am traveling and working hard for the company I have worked for for 3 years. I owned and founded a

business, Baskets of Love on MacArthur, but sold it a few years ago and built a beautiful home here

in Piedmont on the lake. I love to sit outside and watch the boats go by and feed the ducks. After 24

years of marriage my husband decided that wasn't really for him and I am now learning how to be

single (not as fun as it looks ladies). I am now learning how to mow, weed, fix the toilets, etc. Totally

man's work, HEE HEE. I have two wonderful girls. Amber, 21 was married last May and is in nursing

at UCO and Ashley,18 starts UCO in the fall for law. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and

new experiences.

 

Loved football games, pizza after the games, driving back and forth on 39th and of course boys.
My funniest memory was sitting in the back of English by the windows and watching the streakers

run by. It was a real eye full.

I am the school nurse at Putnam City North High School.  It has taught me to be thankful for good health. I am truly blessed with 3 great children. They are all good students and very active athletes.  So most of my time is devoted to attending their activiites. Jessica just finished her freshman year at Texas Christian Univ. (TCU) She is on the varsity swim team. Jake and Jonathon will be in 12th and 10th gr. at Piedmont High School and are involved in Football, basketball, baseball, and marching band.  We all attend Kanakuk Kamps outside Branson, Missouri.  It is a Christian Athletic kamp and it is one of the highlights of our year.  So sorry I will not be able to attend the reunion.

I live in Picher, Oklahoma and teach at Picher-Cardin High School. I have two wonderful daughters, Leslie, 27, and Briana, 21. (My son, Brad, was killed in a freak car accident 7 years ago at the age of 16). I have three terrific grandchildren, Julian, 7, Sierra, 2, and Brooklynn, 1, and a very handsome 1-year old Chihuahua named Bandit. I will graduate in May with a second bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University, this one in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. I'm in my fifth season as a competitive drag racer. I drive a 505 bbc-powered 1971 Chevy Camaro (sometimes I drive a 2007 Mustang Shelby GT) at various race tracks in Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas.

I have been the marketing director at Metro Tech for the last seven years. I moved back to Oklahoma City in 1992. I was living in Dallas, TX during the 80s working at advertising agencies and also sold radio advertising.

 

Everyone being friends whether you were a jock, nerd or freak.  I don't remember having problems with gangs or guns when we were in school.

 

I am divorced and kept my maiden name.  My daughter, Haley is 11 years old and attends the Putnam City schools at Coronado Heights elementary.  Putnam City schools are still great. My daughter is on the principals' honor roll and in the gifted program. She won the Spelling Bee this year and Science Fair last year.

Enjoying marriage to my wonderful wife, Rurie, and raising two sons...Nick,18 and Sean,1...(yes, it was on purpose). My day job keeps me busy practicing law, but I still get an occasional chance to indulge my acting habit, either onstage or on camera. Recently, I hosted a pilot for a college football recruiting show. If early reviews hold, it will become a weekly show this fall. If not, my family and I would very much like to live in a tent in Jeff Blazy's backyard.

 

Now that the statutes of limitation have run, I can't remember the funniest stuff from high school. I just remember it was good...and very funny.

 

I would like to try and get Aerosmith to play at our 50 year reunion as I expect they'll still be touring.
