Married to Julie (Akin) for 20 years.  We built a house in Whitehall, right between Lansbrook & Bluff Creek where we grew up.  I'm a geologist at Chaparral Energy & really like working in the oil business.  Julie is a PTA officer & very active at Dennis Elem.  April is 11 & really into dance.  Connor is 8 & really into football & baseball.  We spend lots of time together as a family enjoying church & our other activities.

 

The day of the PC vs PCW football game our senior year.  We wore our 'Wuck Fest' T-shirts to school.  There were about 30 of us & I think I was about the only one who made it thru the whole day without getting kicked out of class for it.  At lunch, a few of us loaded up in the back of Eddie Lynn's pick-up & drove over to PCW & egged them.  What Wuck-heads we were!!!

 

I know that many of you will be tempted to blow off this reunion.  They're a hassle, they're kinda' cheesey, they take time & money & effort, we're all busy, you need to lose weight, your old flame will be there, etc, etc, etc.  But I've dragged myself to all of these, and without exeception, have had a total blast & would have missed out big-time if I'd blown them off.  Please don't even think about not attending any part of this reunion.  See ya' there!!!

I own my own company and am still selling and supporting telecommunications solutions to a large number of colleges, universities and internet service providers across the Unites States. I just spent the last four years watching some our own great PC legacies do a very great job of their own at PC. Had more fun watching the last four years kids and classes of 2007 and 2008 perform in football, softball, soccer and especially girls basketball, than I did when I went to PC myself. My own now eighteen year old daughter, Alyssa, who just graduated thirty years later from us in PC's class of 2008, spent her last four years as the star and starting point guard for the PC Lady Pirates Basketball Team. First two years were a little rocky due to youth and some coaching turmoil at PC, but Alyssa started every game but 3 of 95 in four years and the PC Lady Pirates, Class of 2008, went 21 and 6 this year to be sole owners of District, Conference, and Regional Championship titles!!!

Just loving life. We live in a beautiful home overlooking the Pacific Ocean and everyday is

like a vacation. We also travel quite a bit and try to make it to Italy every year. But the best thing

we are doing is raising the most beautiful, smart and funny little girl, our daughter, Bronte. My

husband and I are getting ready to celebrate being together for 16 years and renewing our vows in

August. Life just keeps getting better.

I loved Fridays because of all the school spirit surrounding sports, especially football. I loved going to PC even more because all my 3 sisters went to West. What a rivalry we had in our house. Of course it was so sweet our senior year because PC took so many state championships.

I am looking forward to coming back to Oklahoma City since it has been years and I know it has changed quite a bit. I still have family who live there, but they usually come out to see us. I am still trying to get over the fact that we graduated 25 years ago. I sure don't feel that old.

Being a single parent is by itself a full time job so Mr. Mom is me. We are involved in year around

sports and music. My kids are doing some of the things I always wished I had done, they don't think

reading or playing music is that big of deal, to me no way. Living with two girls ages 9 and 12 is

always fun but how things have changed. Here I am in my 40's with my own home and I still have to

put the lid down and buy toilet paper by the case. In reading some of the bios I noticed there are lots

of singles. Hope to meet someone and get to know others better.

 

The funniest is how seriously we took the PC - PCW football game, from borrowing their mascott. I

recall the night of the "game" riding around with a buddy and we actually rammed PCW kids. But

hey they were on our turf. The strange thing is they understood why and no one got whiplash, shot

at or arrested. I feel very fortunate to have survived and "grown up" there are many that did not. The

only regret I have about high school is that I was not more involved in everything and did not get to

know more of you better. We were and still are the best PC has put out. Let's not forget those who

are not able to attend. Look forward to seeing you.

 

How about favorite teachers. How about 10th grade Biology Mr. Gassoway who taught us how to make home brew. He is now working at Home Depot at Founders. English is Ms. Schumacher, she is still teaching but sunday school at Messiah on Portland. Psychology and Mr. Pray what a character.

It's hard to believe our 25th reunion is coming up. It was great to get a call about the

reunion and the website and it's been a great trip down memory lane reading everyone's bios. Jim

and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and we have a 16 year old daughter, Kristy.

We sold our family business, a successful contracting company, and I am currently the Finance

Director at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. I am a cancer survivor. I still love to paint and we

enjoy snow skiing in Vermont. I love to garden, I am going for my Master's Degree, and I belong to

an English Dance group here in Mystic, CT. I try to live each day to the fullest and I'm thankful for a

great husband and daughter!

There are teachers who were an inspiration in my life and friends that I hold dear in my heart. There are many memories I have; it was such a special time.

It would be great to reconnect with old friends. We usually drive down once or twice a year and don't know if we'll make the reunion or not, yet. Would love to hear from Jay Smith and Kathy Rickey. "Twin", Robbie, Jane, miss you guys and I have thought of you often...

These days I am the owner and president of a small engineering company, LTH, ltd., in Okc.  I also do some residential construction work on rental property I own.  I spend my free time at the lake, watching sporting events and occassionally running or golfing.

 

The swim team yearbook picture "Cover-up" is the funniest memory I have of my high school days.  To this day it still cracks me up.  I'm not sure if it was our junior or senior year, but, apparently the powers that be in the yearbook department decided that the swim suits worn by the men's swim team members were too small.  So, in an effort to demonstrate journalistic professionalism and censorship to their students , they took a black magic marker and colored in  a higher suit line.  I recall being mad at first that someone had taken it upon themselves to do this.  But the anger faded quickly because this was just too funny to stay mad about.

Living in the small town of Grove, (perpetual culture shock), working in the small town of Jay (not as slow as you might think), and time rolls on.  Kids (Megan 19, college freshman; Ryan 18, highschool senior; Sydney, 4; Evan 1), golf and my new one... fly-fishing.

 

1. The people, including students and teachers... too many to list.  2. The great group of guys I fell in with during senior year, and everything that included... Sportsman's before the football games (I think the only game we missed was the night of the Ted Nugent concert); the Wuck Fest shirts; making the PIRATE Stadium banner in my garage then making it OUR stadium that one last time; etc.  3.  Kelly willing the football team to the state championship.  4.  I have a lot more.

 

I'm still proud I was there.  I'm sorry I won't be there in June.

kevin & I just purchased our dream home on an acerage in the mountains. The whole front of the house is glass & has a fabulous view of Pikes Peak. I opened a little antique & decor store last November. It is in historic downtown Manitou Springs at the base of Pikes Peak. A wondrfully eclectic little artist, tourist town.  Hope you will stop by for a chat if your vacationing in the area.

 

Most of my fondest memories were not at the school but parting at Lake Hefner. Whoops!

 

We were able to adopt our foster son & changed his name to Dylan Michael. He is a six year old cowboy or soldier. Depending on what day it is. He is the joy of my life.

I'm an independent sales rep for Harley-Davidson licensed products. My territory is all of California and Northern Nevada. I spend a lot of time travelling and raising 2 daughters.

 

Chuck Rayshell shooting spit wads at Mr. Miles in metalshop and hollaring "you suck" when he wasn't looking. Usually Chuck would kick the door 15 seconds or so before he would walk in to class. That's when everyone wore waffle stompers.

I am living on an island off the coast of Maine (since 2003) and trying to remember what civilization used to be like.
